Walden Grove baseball hit a rough spot last week, falling to Tanque Verde, 14-8 on April 11, and losing to Douglas 3-2 on April 12, but bounced back for a big win against Palo Verde on Tuesday, winning 9-0.

The Red Wolves jumped out to a 4-run lead in the first inning and never looked back, while shutting out the Titans.

The Red Wolves face Amphitheater in Tucson on Thursday and host Pusch Ridge for a Saturday game on April 20 at noon, before their final game of the regular season at Vista Grande High School in Casa Grande.

Walden Grove is currently ranked No. 20 in the state with a 10-5 record, 7-4 in conference. The team is looking to earn a state play-in game on April 24.
