Velma Stanzel, 99, of Amado, Arizona, passed away Oct. 29, 2018 in Tucson. She was born Oct. 25, 1919, and had resided in Green Valley, Tucson and Rocky River, Ohio.
Velma attended Baldwin-Wallace University and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha. She worked in the investments/estates department of Cleveland Trust, now Ameritrust, after college, and was a longtime member of the Lakewood Women's Club.
Velma married William R. Stanzel, who preceded her in death. She is survived by son, William C. Stanzel, of Amado.
A funeral service is planned for Friday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. at Lakewood Park Cemetery in Rocky River, Ohio, with burial to follow. Donations in her memory may be made to the Arizona Cancer Center in Tucson.
