Four Sahuarita High School students are facing possible charges of possession of a narcotic drug.
According to a police spokesman, school officials found two girls in a bathroom using a vape pen to smoke liquid THC, the active ingredient in marijuana around noon Monday. During the investigation, they also learned the girls had shared the pen with a boy.
The next day, a Sahuarita High School boy was taken to the hospital after he became violently ill after using a vape pen filled with a wax mixture of drugs, the spokesman said.
In addition to possibly facing possession of a narcotic drug, a Class 4 felony, the 14-year-old is facing use of a narcotic drug in a drug-free zone, another felony.
