Sahuarita High School's baseball and softball teams have both put together impressive records so far this season, and the trend continued Tuesday. The baseball squad won 11-1 over Safford, while the softball team dealt the Bulldogs a 9-3 loss. The softball team earned the 200th victory for Coach Sam Gilardi, who started coaching 20 years ago at a junior high in Nogales.

The two teams travel to Tucson to face Catalina on Friday, before hosting Sabino on April 9 at 4 p.m. The regular season concludes on April 22 with a home game against Catalina. The softball team is currently ranked No. 12 with an 8-3 record, 4-1 in conference, while the baseball team is ranked No. 5 with an 11-1 record. They are undefeated in conference so far at 5-0.
