After several years of recession-induced quiet, the sounds of construction are echoing more consistently in Rancho Resort’s Madera Village.
Builder D.R. Horton recently purchased the remaining 68 lots in the Village and plans to build homes on all of them over the next couple years, according to a spokesman.
“We loved the property,” said Tucson-based Glenn Marion, vice president of sales and marketing. Marion said home prices range from the mid-80s to mid-130s. Finished homes run from 777 to 1,772 square feet.
Rancho Resort is in Sahuarita, at La Canada and Sahuarita Road, west of Interstate 19.
D.R. Horton has completed two model homes, and have about a dozen other homes under construction. Completion dates are targeted for February and early March.
“While we can’t predict the future, we like our market and are excited about our opportunities in 2015,” Marion said.
Rancho Resort is owned by Rancho Sahuarita Co. but has its own clubhouse and amenities.
