Sahuarita Dance Center expanding

Sahuarita Dance Center is expanding to 40 classes in four separate locations, six days a week.
The classes will resume after the summer break on Aug. 4.
The Santo Tomas Villas Clubhouse has been added to the center’s list of locations — Triple Play Family Fun Center, Anamax Park and the Rancho Sahuarita Clubhouse.
Sahuarita Dance Center is also in the process of constructing a 4,100-square-foot studio building which should be complete around the end of the year. It will be adjacent to the Santo Tomas Villa Club house on La C-nada in Sahuarita. Classes held at Santo Tomas and Triple Play will transition to the new studio building.The dance center was started in January of 2006 by local resident Michele Brady. In just over two years, its program has exploded to offer classes in all forms of dance and enrolls more than 200 students.
“Our growth is largely due to our wonderful and caring teachers who are all trained and qualified in their field of dance. We also keep classes small especially for the younger ones,” says Brady.

Sahuarita Dance Center’s primary mission is to promote dance and the arts to the whole community of Sahuarita and Green Valley. This was demonstrated during its showcase production last December of “Oh Holy Night” which included not only dancers, but also musical and choir performances from local performing residents.
