Man suffers life-threatening injuries in rollover

A man in his 70s was taken to Sahuarita Northwest Medical Center on Wednesday after his Chevrolet Impala rolled on Interstate 19, throwing him from the vehicle. According to the Green Valley Fire District, the man was traveling south on I-19 when his vehicle left the lanes between Continental Road and Canoa Ranch Drive. It then traveled into the median, rolled down an embankment and came to rest against a tree. Crews brought the man up the embankment to the northbound lanes before taking him to the hospital. The Arizona Department of Public Safety is investigating.
